The Plan
My name is Martin and I'm ten years old. I like sports, I like to read, and I like video games. My plan is to read all the Newbery Award winners, even the evil ones. Peace.
I have not read any of the books you have reviewed. However, your blog caused me to look up the list of Newbery winners and see what looked good. A number seemed to be really good. The one that I think I will get is "The Trumpeter of Krakow" by Kelly. My grandfather went to the University in Krakow so that first caught my interest. Then I read some reviews from readers and one guy said he read it when he was 11 and still considers it one of the best books he ever read. It is supposed to be an adventure. In any case, Martin's blog made me want to read the books he liked and I will skip the ones he panned.
Martin - here's your first comment. You should give a brief summary of the theme and setting of the book. You're (on the right track), but . . .

ReplyDeletePa you should read a Wrinkle in Time and Walk Two Moons. Even though they're ranked low they're good books.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great book; you should read it.
ReplyDeleteMartin: Regarding reading a Wrinkle in Time and Walk Two Moons. Okay I will try these two first and then read the Trumpeter of Krakow.
